Roxy's Lambing Photos!

On March 18, 2007 at 10:30 a.m., Bellwether Farm ewe Roxy #2006 went into labor.  Within about an hour, she had delivered healthy twin ram lambs, which we named Quinn #178 and Ricardo #179.  On this sunny day, we were able to get the following incredible photo series of this wonderful event.  Take a look!  Click on each photo to enlargen it.  Then click the "back" button on your browser to return here and look at the next picture.  Afterwards, you may click Photo Gallery to return to the other Bellwether Farm photos.

 

1. Roxy's water breaks - 10:30 am	2. Hooves appear - 11:15 am	3. Roxy begins labor - 11:20 am	4. Head appears - 11:22 am	5. Entire head and front legs appear - 11:25 am

31. Lamb finally stands, both lambs nurse - 12:00 noon	32. Later, lambs are dried - 12:45 pm	33. Lambs stand with more confidence - 12:50 pm	34. Lambs resume nursing - 12:50 pm	35. Lambs Quinn and Ricardo ready for the world - 1:00 pm
