Attend a 2012 Herding Clinic at Bellwether Farm!

At Bellwether Farm, we have been hosting herding events since 2001. Each year we try to have at least two clinics taught by nationally known trainers. We also host herding fun days and beginner clinics throughout the year. Additionally, herding enthusiasts may contact Bellwether Farm for supervised herding practice on an appointment basis.

We have several working areas to offer for herding clinics and individual practice sessions:

-- a 35 foot round pen

-- a 70 x 85 foot oval pen

-- a 110 x 200 foot arena with trial course obstacles

-- a 4.5 acre pasture with trial course obstacles

-- chutes, gates and working pens for ranch work

Kent Herbel Herding Clinics and Private Lessons

Four days of instruction from nationally known herding trainer Kent Herbel. A two-day group clinic Saturday and Sunday, and two days of private lessons Friday and Monday. Handlers and dogs must have enough experience to safely work stock on their own. 2012 dates are as follows.

Bellwether Farm Herding Clinics

A series of one-day Saturday clinics taught by a local team of herding instructors. Affordable and designed to introduce beginners to the herding process and to give intermediate herding enthusiasts a chance to practice their skills. Supervised Herding Practice and Instruction

Supervised Herding Practice and Instruction: Available throughout the year - Sheep rental at $15.00 per 1/2 hour. Handlers and dogs must have enough experience to safely work stock on their own.
