Nestled into the curves of the Vermillion River, Bellwether Farm is a camp, retreat, and education center dedicated to exposing the wider community to the creation that sustains all of life. As a working farm, its life focuses on four primary activities.

Bellwether Farm is a unique and affordable option for your next gathering. The center offers brand new facilities featuring a green technology, renewable energy, and water reclamation systems.

Families and friends are invited to an overnight at Bellwether for self-guided time away. The farm, forest, and fields of Bellwether can provide much-needed retreat space for your family to rest and play. No official programming will be offered for the family weekends, but self-guided hikes, board games, goat snuggles, and the pond and farm are available to you. Check-in begins Friday at 4:30, and your first meal is at 6:00 p.m. Saturday breakfast (8:00 a.m.) and lunch (12:00 p.m.) are provided, with departure by 5pm. Retreat rooms are equipped with a private bathroom, linens and towels, and two single beds. A cot can also be added.
An optional addition is to join a holiday cookie making workshop on Saturday from 10:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m. for an additional $25/person.

Bellwether Farm is a model of green technology featuring passive buildings, renewable energy, and more. It is a vehicle through which we can teach the wider community about fidelity to the environment, nutrition, physical and spiritual wellness, local food sourcing, food justice, and sustainable living.
