Here is a great recipe for your mashed potatoes. The difference is that shepherd’s pie is made with ground lamb and cottage pie is made with ground beef. I wonder how a mixture of the two meats would taste. If you try that combination, please let me know. In any case, the creamy mashed potatoes will make a perfect topper.
|2 Tbsp||Vegetable Oil|
|1 cup||Yellow or White Onion, chopped|
|2 cloves||Garlic, minced|
|1 lb||Ground Lamb or Beef|
|½ tsp||Steak Seasoning (my preference is Montreal)|
|½ tsp||Kosher Salt|
|1 Tbsp||Worcestershire sauce|
|2 Tbsp||All Purpose Flour|
|2 Tbsp||Tomato Paste|
