Farm Description

Founded in 2018 after years of visioning and support from the congregations of the Episcopal Diocese of Ohio, Bellwether Farm was created as a place of gathering, learning, and connection. Today, the farm spans more than 200 acres of forest, pasture, gardens, and food plots.

As the 2026 season begins, the farm team is deepening its commitment to regenerative agriculture through the expansion of a diversified market garden. The farm features a 6-acre cultivated food plot alongside a rich array of heritage breed livestock, including sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, and cows. Additional resources include a four-season greenhouse, an apiary, a small orchard, and a maple syrup operation, and a composting system.

With regenerative goals in mind, we seek to build community and grow food for our dining hall, teaching kitchen, and community. We provide farm-based education and programming, and the farm is the centerpiece of our ~200 bed camp and retreat center. Guests and campers alike tour and experience the farm and see the produce coming to the dining hall where it is featured in each meal.
